Capital BlueCross and Magellan Health Services has settled a lawsuit that alleged they failed to follow Pennsylvania law requiring coverage and payment for certain non-hospital residential treatment for drug and alcohol addiction.
You might be eligible for a settlement if you fall into one of two classes. The Subscriber Class is those Capital subscribers who received non-hospital addiction treatment between Dec. 22, 2004 and Nov. 14, 2014, and have certain health care plans. The Provider Class includes all properly licensed Pennsylvania non-hospital residential addiction treatment facilities that provided non-hospital residential addiction treatment between Dec. 22, 2006 and Nov. 14, 2014, and also was subscribed to different health care plans.
